This reminiscence about the Chicago Matadors for ChicagoSide was the first oral history I’ve ever written. It was a lot of fun to do, but I thought it was also poignant — these ample men got to taste the sweet nectar of fame… and then it was gone. But most of them are grateful for the opportunity, and the story ran in the Sun-Times and was picked on Deadspin  and Chicagoist.
